Arts Fusion
Arts Fusion 2024 was a mega Arts Concert that featured students from the Symphonic Band, the Chinese Orchestra, the Dance, the Chorale and the Drama club. At this concert, each CCA celebrated their talent, passion and love for the Arts.
College Open House
On 12th January 2024, our college hosted our second in-person Open House post-COVID. This momentous occasion brought together every member of our college community, who were unified by the common goal of showcasing YIJC's exceptional offerings to inspire and nurture students into future-ready leaders and lifelong learners.
Cultural Exchange Programme
On 11th January 2024, Waseda Shibuya Senior High School hosted 22 of our students, giving them the opportunity to experience a day in the life of Japanese high school students and interacting with them throughout the day.
FRLLLL Week
Our College believes that learning should not be confined to the classroom. Given the increasingly volatile, uncertain, complex, and ambiguous world that we live in today, the College recognises that there is a need to develop the students continually and to expose them to diverse learning environments so as to better prepare them for the future.
In Conversation With YI Alumni
On 3 Apr 2024, YIJC hosted our first In Conversation with Alumni session – where our alumni shared more on the realm of law, their journey in the industry as well as the myriad pathways that a law degree can unlock. These conversational sessions aim to provide YIJCians with a rich opportunity to learn more about the varied potential pathways for their future.
JC1 Orientation
The 2024 Orientation Theme, "Adventura - Explore, Experience, Evolve", signifies an exciting journey for the new JC1 students to explore their individual strengths and areas of growth, adapt to the new college environment and forge meaningful connections with the college comunity. The theme "Adventura", which refers to adventure in latin, serves to empower the JC1 students as they embark on their whole new journey in the college.
KOTA & KOTS
In 2024, Yishun Innova Junior College (YIJC) hosted two exhilarating sporting events that were pivotal in developing leadership competencies, promoting health and safety, fostering strong student bonds, and encouraging an active lifestyle. In each of these sporting events, students from different houses and classes are brought together and have an opportunity to showcase their athletic prowess and hone their collaborative skills.
Listen Concert
‘Listen’ is a signature event that is organised by our very own Musicians’ Club, under the creative direction of their instructor, Mr. Redwan Hamzah. It is a spectacular rocking concert featuring various Musicians' Club Bands which are helmed by talented individuals, and it marks the culmination of many hours of training, planning and coordination.
University LJ and Symposiums
To broaden our students' horizons, the college organised learning journeys to 13 different faculties in the 6 autonomous universities on 9 January 2024. In these visits, various university representatives highlighted the unique aspects of their degree programmes and provided insight on what our students can expect as an undergraduate.
